Valentine's Day

One of the five nights I've actually cooked dinner was Valentine's Day. I made Alaskan Salmon (caught by Joe) which is a favorite with our kids. Faith's job was to make name tags and set the table. We even got out the fancy china. This has become a Valentine's Day tradition for our family.

Earlier in the day, we shared our GIANT Valentine's Day treat that Papa Rick sent the kids, with Layne, Quinn, Dillon, and Jamison. What a fun day it was!

New Photos

Hello Everyone!

I'm amazed that three weeks has already gone by with our sweet, sweet boy. We feel so blessed to have him here with us. He is an AMAZING baby only upset when he's hungry or gassy...I've discovered he doesn't share my love of chocolate and boy is that a bummer since I consider it a large part of the food guide pyramid. Oh well...I'll make it through! :) Faith and Jensen have adjusted well to having their brother arrive. Faith is totally in LOVE with him and helps all the time. She suddenly seems so grown up as she's taken on the roll of big sister to two brothers. Jensen likes to be sure that everyone knows Jacob is ours with phrases such as, "No! Mom's baby!" Which was said when Auntie Sarah went to pick him up one day. Or "My baby! My baby! My baby!" When he thought grandma was leaving with him. His favorite ways to help include force giving the binky (we think he's worried that if Jacob decides to not take a binky then his will get taken away sooner...have no fear Jensen, we don't enjoy listening to you scream for your "inky.")He also loves to dip his entire hand into the jar of Vaseline to help in the diaper change (good thing for baby wipes!).

Here are a few new pictures of the baby. Hopefully I'll update again soon...or at least in another three weeks!

This Man...

Over the past 11 months this man has held my head while I vomited for the first 15 weeks of pregnancy, rubbed my back at night, ran to the store at 10pm to get more Prilosec, because I was sure I couldn't make it through the night, sped to the hospital (pulling over during contractions, because I couldn't take the movement), held my hand in labor, cleaned up a weeks worth of vomit from our sick kids when we got home from the hospital, taken over many tasks I normally would do, loved our family to no end, and has done it all with a smile on his face. Oh...and went to Motherhood Maternity to purchase me to HUGE nursing bras. What would I do without him. Love you to pieces Joe!

He's Here...pictures to come

He's here!!!!

Jacob Patrick Rotter arrived (on his own...no induction :)) Saturday, January 31st at 4:00am. Baby is healthy and we are home. Sorry no pictures for now...we'll add them soon, but we are very busy taking care of the baby and Faith and Jensen. Sadly, both Faith and Jensen have the stomach flu. We are doing everything possible to keep the baby healthy. Lots of prayers for a healthy family please. Jacob and I are camping out in the bedroom, which has been totally Lysoled and Joe is taking care of our two little sickies.

Pictures and more details to come soon.
